Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the moment. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three throughout her competitions during the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
