Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set an all-time junior world record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium across her diverse events during the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
